Northwestern University and Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory, managed by Fermi Research Alliance, LLC for the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Science, are partners in this Center to promote a focus on superconductivity.
By partnering, the two organizations have multiple levels of expertise, equipment, and cooperation to build ideas and projects.
At Northwestern, we are one of a myriad of University Research Centers, managed by the Office for Research.
CAPST is home to Northwestern’s arm of the Superconducting Quantum Materials and Systems (SQMS) Center, which features collaboration with Rigetti Computing, NASA’s Ames Research Center, Ames Laboratory, and many others.
At Fermilab, we are part of the Fermilab R & D area.
Our other collaborators include Argonne National Laboratory, University of Northern Illinois, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Osaka University, Royal Holloway University of London, Heidleberg University, and the newly-formed Fermilab Quantum Institute.
