The Department of Physics and Astronomy at Northwestern University and the Center for Superconducting Quantum Materials and Systems (SQMS), invite applications for a Postdoctoral Associate in Quantum Information Science. The successful candidate will be principally responsible for and lead SQMS research activities in a new low-temperature laboratory at Northwestern University.Experience with the operation of dilution refrigerators and familiarity with microwave control and measurement techniques at millikelvin temperatures with superconducting quantum circuits are important. There will be ample opportunities for collaboration with othermembers of the SQMS team focused on optimizing materials and devices for superconducting quantum computing and sensing. The position is potentially renewable and will be supervised by Jens Koch, Deputy Director of SQMS. https://sqmscenter.fnal.gov/people/leadership/
We especially encourage applications from candidates who contribute to the diversity of our programs.
